Fellow saints and partakers of the divine nature, I trowel salute for wuna ooooh. I bless you all in Jesus name. As saints of God, we need to conduct ourselves properly, this include our appearance or dressing habit. There is a way of dressing that complements the believer in Chist and his/her high calling, this was why apostle Paul said thus in Philippians 1:27, hence our conversation/manner of life(including dressing) should befit the gospel of CHRIST.
Someone said that our manner of dressing is like a window providing a look into our hearts. This is partly true because some people are simply identified by their dressing code(uniform). God for the sake of other men desires that our bodies be properly and adequately covered and not displayed. Let others be able to see God even in our appearance and glorify God.
In 1Corinthians 6:19-20 bible reads as "" (19). What?, know ye not that your body is the temple of the holy spirit who is in you, whom you have of God, and ye are not your own?. (20). For ye are bought with a price, therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit. This means that our bodies are paid for and no longer belong to us but belong to the man who paid for it. And the owner of this our care taking bodies says we should gloried him even in our bodies/dresses. So always have it in your mind that even your body belongs to God and so dress it in a godly manner. modest formal dresses
And in 1Peter 3:3-4, bible talks of how women(men too inclusive) should appear decently and in modesty. This is not to impress God, but to build a constructive relationsip with one another. Allow the holy spirit lead you on how to appear/dress and the God's in you keep you safe. Though God look not at the outward appearance but the heart, men look for both and relativity are afterwords affected either positive or negatively.
Romans 12:1-2 also partly though not fully/ totally involve our appearance. Appear always in a decent/modest manner, appear like God will do. Shalom shalom.
